Introduction: Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Brussel sprouts seem to get a bad rap, and I admit, I wasn't too fond of them either, until I had them prepared this way! The amount of garlic in this recipe can be adjusted, depending on your taste. You can even throw in some whole cloves to roast at the same time!
Step 1: Ingredients
You will need:
-brussel sprouts (I made 2 lbs in this batch)
-2-3 cloves of garlic (or more, depending on how much you like garlic. If you want roasted garlic as well, throw some whole cloves in there)
-olive oil
-salt
Step 2: Prepare Brussel Sprouts
Pre heat oven to 400 degrees F. Wash your brussel sprouts thoroughly and cut each one in half and remove any brown leaves.
Step 3: Add the Rest of the Ingredients
Chop up the garlic and add it to the brussel sprouts, add about 2 tablespoons of olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. Toss together in a bowl until all brussel sprouts are evenly coated and garlic is distributed.
Step 4: Bake
Arrange the brussel sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer. I lined mine with parchment paper to help with clean up, but it's not necessary. Bake fore 20 minutes, take it out, flip the brussel sprouts over and put them in the oven for another 10-20 minutes. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don't get burnt.
Step 5:
Take the brussel sprouts out of the oven and serve when still warm. These are bound to convert some doubters into brussel sprout lovers!

Do you know how to get these to get really dark and crispy? I've tried it, but maybe I need to add more oil...

I just tried this and I must say they are good but they need some acidity. Someone mentioned feta...I might agree with them but if you want this vegan or something...simply add some lemon juice which is what I usually do with them.

Feta cheese is great on them. Also cook up some bacon. And put the sprout halves in the grease. Cook then chop up the bacon and mix. Yum

ooh my picky younger brother would hate me if we made this once or twice for dinner, but every other member of my family would tell him to shut and give the delicacies to us instead. Thank you for the delicious looking recipe!
