Introduction: Null

This robot arm has been designed so that it runs on a track around the house, it will be able to perform any task that you tell it to, the track itself will carry all the data, power and other information through several contacts inside the track. The arm itself is designed so that it is a 6 axis arm, it will run off of high torque motors and the arm is designed so that the upper arm and the forearm are extendable using a spring and winch design, where you have a winch that pulls the arm back or collapses it, and you have a spring that pushes the arm out, so it is infinitely variable length, and the arm does not twist as it extends making complex tasks simpler. Since it uses this unique spring and winch design, it is uniquely suited as a home defense robot, it could hold a gun, and when the gun fires, the arm is pushed back with the recoil, and the winch catches it at the end of the recoil stroke. Since the arm is extendable it holds tons of advantages over other arms that are similar, for example, it can be configured with a two-foot base length, when folded and extend all the way out beyond eight feet once extended! This allows the arm to reach into places, around corners, and into cupboards and dishwashers. Since this is designed to be a consumer item, not a prosumer item it needs to be simple to program. There could be several programming methods, you could program it through the computer, you could program it through the arm itself, and you could have it go full machine learning mode and learn where everything is, it then would know what you wanted it to do when you told it to do something either through voice control, or through a scheduling app and Bluetooth. Some potential applications for this arm may be to help disabled people do dishes, move around the house, pick up the floors, sweep, and all sorts of other tasks. Maybe if there is someone who has a husband or wife that has to stay in bed, and be flipped every couple of hours it could do that task for them since they have to go to work to pay for the medications their incapacitated other needs.
