Introduction: Null

This robot design is more of a proof of concept than a completed design as I do not have the time, or a fast enough computer to build and add more components to the design. Despite this, the robot is designed to work in a similar fashion to the X Y axis of a CNC machine or 3D printer. Via a chain, belt, or motors on the wheels of the carriage it will move in the x direction on the two mounted tracks. The Y axis will be controlled by another carriage on the two mobile tracks that move in the Y coordinate plane. The vertical movement will be possible through an arm like structure with 2-4 joints in a normal application. The joints will have movement based on motors and a pulley like system that works similarly to the human muscle tissue. The hand or claw can be customized and work the same way as the arm depending on the application. I originally intended this for use around the kitchen however as I developed the design I realized that it would be of magnificent use in a shop setting as well. with full mobility of the entire room it can be used to lift heavy objects and place them where they are required. In the kitchen it can be used to open the refrigerator, obtain too high to reach items off of shelves, load the dishwasher, unload the dishwasher, and do what any one armed person could accomplish in the kitchen. The design could be applied to two arms as well as one with a slight decrease in mobility. All the motor mechanisms could be up above the top of the track as metal cable can be applied to move the arms.
