Introduction: Rotating Lamp Cover

I made a interactive rotating fabric lamp cover which you can also move it up and down.

Supplies

Hardware:

3D printer at least 15cm*15cm*15cm

TPU and PLA

textile that can be bounced with TPU

heat press machine

scissors that can cut fabric

adhension

a round lamp with a hole at center which diamater is smaller than 13cm


Software:

Fusion 360

Ultimaker Cura

Step 1: Print the PLA Parts

download our f3z file and export as stl file , then slice in Ultimaker Cura and print them

Step 2: Print TPU Parts

download our f3d files and export as stl files, then slice in Cura and print 15 parts for each file(30 in total)

Step 3: Cut Fabric

Cut 15 pieces of 3mm*150mm elastic fabric

Step 4: Heat Press Fabric and TPU Parts

The 2mm*3mm adhension is between the TPU and the cloth, and the ends of each cloth are connected with a large TPU part and a small TPU part respectively, with the cloth on the top and the TPU on the bottom, 280 degrees heat press for 10 seconds. Repeat this process for 15 times.

Step 5: Assemble Step 1

Pass the Top part through the hole in the middle of the lamp

Step 6: Assemble Step 2

2.Slide the end of the fabric connected to the larger TPU part into the groove of the bottom part and repeat 15 times

Step 7: Assemble Step 3

3.Pinch the place of the bottom part that is shown in the image 3 and insert the middle column of the bottom part into the column of the Top part.

Step 8: Assemble Step 4

Slide the TPU parts at the other end of the fabric into the grooves of the Top part
