Introduction: Rubik's Snake (Make It Move)
You have probably heard of the Rubik's Cube, specifically the 3 x 3 Rubik's Cube. But there is a toy called the Rubik's Snake. My mom was the first one to tell me about it. She used to give the Coca-Cola company those caps from the glass bottles. Those glass bottle caps can be redeemed for prizes like a yo-yo and all those other toys. Right, no Legos, no Jenga, no Monopoly. She used to get a Rubik's snake which was the colors of the Coca-Cola logo, red and white. While you can buy one of these, I suggest making it. Now, I don't have a 3D Printer so I don't know if the model will be successful or a failure. Anyways guys....
HAVE FUN MAKING IT!!!
By the way, the picture above isn't my 3D printed version, it is to tell you what a rubik's snake is.
Supplies
3D Printer (Of Course)
2 spools of different colors (Your choice, I chose blue and white, but you can do whatever colors you want, but only 2)
Step 1: Files
THE LINKS DON'T WORK ANYMORE! Ugh, fine. I'll make new models and give out the STL files, something my past-self didn't know how to do.
Please go to these links below, copy the object, and put it on another project (I will post a new link every 14 days because they will expire):
First piece: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/8PIcG9rR8N5-rubik...
Second piece: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/diIHjLHYcuq-rubik...
Step 2: Putting It All Together
In step 1 you got the files. Print each file 5 times to get a 10-piece rubik's snake. Now put the rods that stick out into the holes.
Step 3: Finish!
Now for the ends! You will 3D Print 1 copy of the following files:
End piece 1: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/cUM3V5eHdpI-rubik...
End piece 2:https://www.tinkercad.com/things/eHYs8jIOZwI-copy-...
Now finish it by putting it on the ends!
