Rust on Small Parts

Not so much an Instructable as a tip.
I had a bunch of screwdriver tips that had become covered in surface rust. Cleaning them mechanically meant sanding a lot of small parts with multiple faces. Instead I soaked the bits in a jar of cola overnight. I rubbed them over with oil the next day and they were fine.
It's often mentioned but this is the first time I actually tried it and I was surprised how well it worked. I also tried it on a heavy file with no luck.
