Introduction: S4A Robot Astronaut
Hi,everyone this is Ruthwik I am 10 years old and I made this robot using S4A(Scratch for Arduino). It took 2 weeks to complete this. I used cardboard to make this. S4A - Scratch for Arduino is a Scratch modification that brings the easiness of programming with Scratch to the Arduino prototyping board.
Supplies
- cardboard
- castor wheel
- Arduino board
- LED lights
- parallax continuous rotation servo
- jumper wires
- plastic sheet
- paper
- weight like batteries
- thick steel wire
Step 1: Body of the Robot
I used cardboard to make the body. The helmet is semicircle. I used thick steel wire to make the antenna.
Step 2: Adding Colour
I used grey paper to cover the cardboard and I added the servo motors to the legs of the character. I used the plastic sheet to make the visor.
Step 3: Electronics
I glued the Arduino board at the back of the robot and the LED s inside the head and did the connections.
Step 4: Weight to Balance
I added the castor wheel and weight at the back of the robot.
Step 5: Coding
I did all the steps to start the Arduino board using S4A. It worked but the Arduino connection wire was not long so the robot was unable to move.
Step 6: Making It Move
Then I got a long connection wire and tested. It moved.
Step 7: Making It Talk
I added audio to my robot. Now it can talk.
Step 8: COMPLETED ROBOT
Everything is working!! Now it is perfect. It is moving, talking the lights are glowing. :) :)
