SK112: Smoke Bomb

Here it is, I made this for Instructables, and Instructables only.
Hope you have a good time making it. It's fun to spray paint these so they look like a real SK112!

NOTE: This is NOT my idea, but I did modifie it.

Step 1: Materials

Materials for the ignightor:


Stick Matches - 3 Dollars

Paper Matches (1-5) - FREE

5 Inches of Wire - FREE

Straw - FREE

Bamboo Skewer - FREE ( 3 Dollars a pack )

Sciccers - FREE ( 1 Dollar )

Eletricle tape - 50 Cents

Square of Toilet Paper - FREE

Added up: 7 Dollars for ignightor

Step 2: Start

Cut about 3 inches of straw. Wrap tissue around the end of the straw and tape it, make sure its PAPER THEN.

Step 3: Other Side

Put this side that has tissue on it face down ( on the ground ) cut match heads and stuff them in the straw, pack them with a skewer.

Step 4: Ignightor Finished

Rip a pack of matches off the striker. Remove the tiny staple and get one side of the match book. Wrap it around the halfway finished ignightor and tape it. Stretch the tape.

Step 5: Done!

Make the pull-ring and your done with the ignightor!


Cut out two match ignightors. Bend a peice of wire to a ring. Tape the strikers red side down. Make sure they are firmly in place.

Step 6: Smoke Bomb

To make the smoke bomb you need:

Pan- - -$5

Stove- - -FREE

Potassium nitrate/stump remover- - -$5 ( Or More )

Powdered sugar/sorbatal- - - Sugar $3 sorbatal $50

PVC/tube- - -$1-$5

Container- - -$1

Optional:

Fire extinguisher- - -$15

Step 7: Fuel

Make the fuel by getting a 60% KNO3 and 40% Sorbatal.

So, you could double the ratio. For instance
Ratios:

60% 40%

120% 80%

200% 120%

260% 140%


You must Weigh the ratio in GRAMS.

Step 8: Melt the Fuel

Melt the fuel. Make sure not to burn down your house.
Melt fuel at a LOW temp.


Warning:

If you are using sugar instead of sorbatal,
your fuel will look like creamy peanut butter when
done. This mix drys VERY fast. If using sorbatal
have no worries

Step 9: DONE

Put fuel in tube insert fuel into the tube and
insert the ignitor into the tube. Your done!!
