Introduction: SPYDRINKZ Coffee Cup-SDCC

About: Hello! I'm Nerfrocketeer, also known as Nefrock', Nerf, or NK. I am an avid fan of Nerf wars, engineering, and animal activism (but no I don't go overboard). Thank you for A MILLION views (woah!) and making me…
Imagine this: you're a spy, stuck in the middle of enemy headquarters. You need to make a call to base to relay some key information that could help you win the current war. The enemy guards are watching you. Are they becoming suspicious? You don't wait to find out. Quickly, amidst a cloud of bullets and shouts, you dart into a nearby janitor's closet and pull out your SpyDrink. You open it up, dial your general and tell him what he needs to know to attack- and rescue you. Wait-what's a SpyDrink? Well, you're about to find out! This Instructible will show you how to make the Spydrink SDCC-(spy drink coffee cup). This cup can be used to secretly make calls in inopportune situations. This works for any rectangular phone, such as iPhone, HTC evo, Samsung galaxy, and iPod touch.

Step 1: The Prototype

Before making this Instructible, I made a test prototype. It worked well; the device can be accessed using a front opening, there is an opening for the charger, and the top can be opened to reach the on/off button. There is also an interior backing that will hold your device in place-all inside a inconspicuous coffee cup!

Step 2: Materialz

You will need: 1 clean coffee cup (this one is from McDonald's), some cardboard, some paper towels, hot glue and a hot glue gun, some scotch tape, a knife (in this case a switchblade), a mobile device, and a phone charger.

Step 3: Cut the Main Opening

First, measure your device, then draw a rectangle on the cup that will fit your screen. Try to put it on the least obvious part of the cup. Then, use your knife to cut out the sides and top of the rectangle, leaving a small part uncut in the middle of the bottom. Try to be neat with your cuts. Next, push out the opening flap, and add tape to the uncut portion on the inside and outside for support. Make sure that once inside the cup your device screen lines up to the opening.

Step 4: Charger Opening

Next, find where the charger intake on your phone is, and make a hole on the cup that will allow access to it. First, trace a rectangle that is just bigger than the charger, then use your knife to cut it out, in the same way as the main flap. Add tape to add support. Make sure it lines up.

Step 5: Backing

Next, cut out a piece of cardboard that will fit inside the cup. Line it up so it will hold your device in place, then hot glue it in place.

Step 6: Paper Towels

Add paper towels behind the cardboard opposite the flaps. Also add a paper towel to the bottom of the cup.

Step 7: Top of Backing

Cut out a half circle to put on the top of the backing and hot glue/tape it in place.

Step 8: Using the SpyDrink

To get to your screen, open the front flap. To charge, open the smaller flap and insert you charger.

Step 9: Turning on Your Device

To turn on, open the top flap in the lid, and press the on/off button.

Step 10: Done!!!

You are done! Enjoy your SpyDrink! To talk, just go to calling on your device, close the cup, and talk! Very sneaky!!! Thanks for viewing! Enjoy!
