Step 1: Preview
Step 2:
I'm starting to make the first piece that will form the body. I use 18mm hard plywood. I glue 2 of them together and cut them.
Step 3:
I cut 6 discs of 182mm in diameter from lightweight plywood. I glue them together in the form of 3 + 3.
Step 4:
After refitting the bearings. I glue the parts and fix them with screws to form the main body. After fixing the engine, I put on the belt. Now I can energize the engine.
Step 5:
I do some turning and sanding to balance the main wheel. I make sure it is stable and vibration free.
Step 6:
It's time for the top wheel. I fix the M8 metals in place and sand the ends. I open the bearing housings for the upper wheel. After installing the bearings, I snap the upper wheel into place. After attaching the 50x1500mm sanding belt, I start the motor and do some sanding. I make sure the upper wheel is balanced. I give the proper shape by sanding the sides a little too much.
Step 7:
I attach a 180mm diameter velcro to the lower wheel. I will attach sandpaper to this. I assemble the flat table for disc sanding in place
Step 8:
For the belt sanding section, I also fix the thick metal in place. I fix the adjustable angle table in place.
Step 9:
I set the trays at 90 degrees and do the first sanding. Here is the test video.
Best wishes. Thank you.
