Introduction: Sandwhich

This set of instructions is an instructive and educational recipe on how to craft a sandwich for people who don’t have a lot of experience with making food or younger people like teenagers and kids who don’t know how to make much. The sandwich will require simple tasks to make. The following recipe is simply a foundation for the person to follow until they can grasp basic techniques in cooking to use elsewhere but will know how to always craft sandwiches and ultimately put their own spin on it after some time and practice.

Ingredients - Sandwich bread, Meat (turkey, ham, roast beef), Cheese (Cheddar, provolone, pepper jack, Swiss), Onion, Jalapeño or banana pepper, Avocado, Bacon, Hummus or another spread, Toaster oven or panini maker, 12” frying pan and Tongs.

Step 1: Bacon

The first thing we are going to do is make the bacon. Use whatever bacon you’d like and take out two strips to cook. Use the directions on the back of the bacon packaging to cook them.

Step 2: Bacon 2

Get a 12” frying pan and lay the bacon strips on before starting the stove. Make sure you also have tongs for turning the bacon over.

Step 3: Bacon 3

Turn on the stove to low heat as bacon cooks best slowly.

When the bacon begins to curl and buckle, use the tongs to move it around and flip so that they’re both evenly brown on both sides.

Step 4: Bacon 4

Cook until both strips are nice and crispy then turn off the pan and place the strips on some napkins so they can drain some of their grease, set these aside for now.

Step 5: Onion, Avocado and Jalapeño

Take your onion and evenly chop it into small slices, then do the same with your jalapeño or banana pepper. You want enough slices to evenly spread across the bread. Set those to the side.

Step 6: Chopped Veggies

Step 7: Hummus

Take you first slice of bread and spread hummus or another type of spread across it. Cheese dips are good too.

Step 8: Meat (Turkey)

Take your meat and put about 4 or 5 slices on the bread.

Step 9: Cheese (Provolone)

Put 2 slices of cheese on top of the meat.

Step 10: Bacon

Then take your bacon and put it on top of the cheese.

Step 11: Veggies

Take your chopped onion and pepper and put it on top after that.

Step 12: Avocado

Take your avocado and use a large knife to cut it from the top all the way around back to the top. Split both sides apart and take the knife and hack into the avocado seed and twist it so it comes out and then throw that away. Take out the avocado and smash it up and spread it on the other slice of bread.

Step 13: Panini Maker

Turn on your toaster oven or panini maker and wait for it to warm.

Step 14: Completion

Put another spread and put on the slice of bread, completing the assembly portion of the sandwich making.

Step 15: End

Put the sandwich into the toaster oven or panini maker until it’s browned and hot.

Then put the sandwich on a plate and cut in half diagonally and serve with chips!
