Step 1: Question

What is the effect of Energy Drinks and Sodas on Meat?

Step 2: Background Information

I know that energy drinks contain high level of taurine, caffeine, sugar, excessive amount of B Vitamins. and some other stuff. And sodas contain, carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup (sugar), caramel color, caffeine, and some other stuff like, phosphoric acid, citric acid. I believe that the effect of sodas will be much higher than energy drinks on meat.

Step 3: Hypothesis

believe the effect of sodas in meat is higher than the effect of energy drinks on meat because of the chemicals it contains.

Step 4: Variables

Independent:

sodas | energy drinks

Dependent: meat

Controlled: container

Step 5: Tools and Equipment Used

Two containers

Two pieces of meat

One energy drink

One soda drink

Step 6: Procedure

I will put two pieces of meat into two containers and fill one of them up with energy drinks, and the other with soda drinks. And wait for about 2-3 days and within these days I will analyze what is happening and take pictures everyday.

Step 7: Data With Data Table

The effect of energy drinks on meat

1st day

On the first day as you can see on the above image, nothing happened to the meat, but the energy drink (red bull) was starting being absorbed by the meat.

The effect of soda drinks on meat

1st day

On the first day as you can see on the above image, nothing happened, but the meat started to absorb the chemicals of the soda.

Step 8: Data With Data Table 2nd Day

The effect of energy drinks on meat

2nd day

On the 2nd day as you can see on the above image, the meat was starting to get grey like its being cooked, but it was not fully absorbed or almost fully absorbed like the soda, it was being absorbed slowly. And surprisingly it didn’t sink like the soda with the meat.

The effect of soda drinks on meat

2nd day

On the 2nd as you can see on the above image, day the meat was almost fully absorbed, and its color didn’t change that much, not like the energy drink. And in addition, it began to shrink and sink into the soda.

Step 9: Data With Data Table 3rd Day

The effect of energy drinks on meat

3rd day

On the 3rd and last day as you can see on the above image, the energy drink absorbed almost half of the meat and it became even more grey if not half of it. And in addition, it began to sink just like the soda and the meat.

The effect of soda drinks on meat

3rd day

On the 3rd and last day as you can see on the above image, the meat was fully absorbed and shrunk even more and became even smaller than the other meat and its color didn’t change a lot but as you can see its becoming a dark color like brown.

(*THERE IS A PROBLEM I CANT UPLOAD THE IMAGE FOR THE 3RD DAY*)

Step 10: Analyzing the Patterns

The more days spent the higher the effect of meat gets. And I have shown it in the data table from the previous slides.

Step 11: Giving a Conclusion

In conclusion, the more days spent the higher the effect of meat gets. And my hypothesis is somehow correct which is, I believe the effect of sodas in meat is higher than the effect of energy drinks on meat because of the chemicals it contains. Because as I have shown in the data table you can realize that the soda has a higher effect than the energy drink, but on the other hand the energy drink has an effect but not like the soda.
