Introduction: Shotgun Shell Lights
Light up the holidays with these shotgun shell lights! They can also be a great gift for anyone who likes to shoot shotguns.
Materials:
- Spent shotgun shells
- a strand of Christmas lights
Tools:
- Screwdriver
- Hammer
- Hot glue gun
Step 1: Remove the Primer
The first step is to remove the primer. The best way I found is to use a screwdriver and a hammer. Place the screwdriver in the shell right in the middle where the primer is. Then place the butt of the screwdriver on a table and with a hammer hit the edge of the metal several times. You should see the primer popping out.
Step 2: Clean
For best results clean the shells of any dirt.
Step 3: Glue Time!
Now take you lights and use a hot glue gun to glue around the bulb. Quickly slip the metal part of the shotgun shell over the bulb. Allow a few seconds to cool before you move on to the next one.
Once you have finished the strand, hang it up, plug it in and enjoy!
