Introduction: The Simple Mans Shower Caddy From Recycled Water Bottle

About: I work in a D.i.Y style superstore. I am not sure if that is a good thing or not, but it certainly perpetuates my interest in such areas. I enjoy high powered devices of any kind. I do not give in, even…
This I'ble will show you how to craft a shower caddy from a used Water Bottle.
Not only is this project functional, but more importantly it looks good too.

Organise and store your soap or razor, in this neat little shower caddy.

Some Instructable members have already started making theirs!! Quick you don't want to be last!!!!

Step 1: What You Will Need

You will only need a few things to complete this project. They are

~ A water bottle.

~ Super glue.

~ Some cotton cord.

~ Scissors.

~ Nail.

That's it, Lets go!!

Step 2: Cutting the Opening

Take your bottle and cut a suitable sized opening, about 2.5cm / 1 Inch above the base of the bottle.

Make sure it is large enough to fit your items.

Step 3: Drain Holes

Take your nail and pierce the bottom of the bottle.

Do this in several places to allow water to drain.

This will stop our soap from going soft and dissolving.

Step 4: Creating Hole for Rope / Inserting Rope

Take your bottle cap and create a hole in the center which will accept your doubled over cord.

Take your rope. Double it over to form a loop.
Ensure the length will be correct for your shower.
Tie the loose ends into a knot.

Insert the rope through the hole and then screw the cap back on the bottle.

Step 5: Binding the Lid

Take another length of rope and wind it around the cap.
You may wish to use a drop of your super glue to start and finish the bind.

Step 6: Your Finished.

Once you have completed the cap, you are finished.
Your shower caddy is ready to be hung.

Every time you reach for the soap you will be reminded of these valuable bottles and what we can create with them.

I hope you are all inspired to create your own bottle piece of ingenuity. Good Luck!!
