Introduction: Shrunken Skull Mushrooms

Add a bit of spooky to your Halloween table with some shrunken skulls. Use them as a simple side dish or float some in a soup or stew! Simple and delicious these are a fun fall treat.

Supplies

Mushrooms

Oil

Seasoning

Knife

Pan

Step 1: Cut

Trim off mushroom ends and cut in half. Using tip of your knife, carefully slice the stem into teeth, add slits for nose and holes for eyes. Mushrooms are fibrous so be sure to cut, try not to carve as it will tear. You can leave the outside on as I did or peal off the outer layer to be more white.

Step 2: Cook

Fry in pan for a few minutes each side in light oil. Season as you choose and enjoy!
