Build a chamber to etch or cut materials that may damage the optics in a laser cutter or produce poisonous gases.

Materials needed:

Silicon wafer
Silicone sealant
Metal cookie tin or similar container with lid

    Here's a little cold water :/ if your going to try this you might want to make sure that this is not an n-type wafer which quite a few are processed with arsenic , which heating the wafer will cause it to release wonderful toxic gases too

    Awesome idea!

    I'm curious - surely you're dissipating /some/ of the optical energy in the wafer. Is it significant?
