Introduction: Simple Rainbow Bracelet
In honor of June (Pride Month) I decided to make this quick and easy pride bracelet that can be made with a few supplies, in about 5 minutes. I make these bracelets all the time for the Greek Sorority Organizations, and I incorporate different beads, rondelles, and charms for a different and unique look. Either way they are fun and easy to make, and Pride month gave me the excuse to make this version. Hope you like it, and if you have any questions, please comment or shoot me an email as I will answer any and all questions pertaining to this Instructable. So with that out of the way....let get started!
Step 1: What You Will Need
Supplies:
1. Pave/Bling Beads. (The type of bead you use is totally up to you.)
2. Filler Beads
3. Magic Stretch
4. Rondelles. (I am using Sterling Silver 4mm Rondelles but these are purely optional)
5. Glue (I am using E6000 because that is what I had on hand, but I like G-S Hypo Cement better.)
6. Bead Stop
7. Snips/Scissors
8. Tape Measure or Ruler
Step 2: Size Your Bracelet & Prepare for Stringing Your Beads
The person that I will be making this bracelet for is a size 7. So I will measure out about 10 inches of the Magic Stretch, and place the bead stop on the end to prevent the beads from falling off while stringing. Time to string your beads.
Step 3: Stringing the Beads
I string my sterling silver rondelles and my pave bling beads first, placing a rondelle between each bead. I then string my filler beads until I have reached 7 inches.
Step 4: Finishing the Bracelet
I finish my bracelets with a Square Knot. I tie the first part of the knot then place a dab of glue on it, I then complete the second part of the square knot while pulling the strings taught, and placing another dab of glue on top of it to ensure it holds. After the glue has had a few minutes to dry, I trim the excess string, and thread the small remaining string back through the adjoining beads. (See photo)
Step 5: Completed Bracelet
Your bracelet is now ready to wear! It was quick, it was simple and easy to make, and it looks Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to view my Instructable.
