Introduction: Simple Rock Candy

Ingredients:

3/4 Light Corn Syrup

Sugar (2 Cup)

Water (1/2 Cup)

Optional:

Food coloring

flavorings

Supplies

Sauce Pot

Metal Sheet pan

Thermometer

Wax paper

Wisk

Step 1: Sheet Pan

Cut your wax paper and put it in your sheet pan to pour the candy into.

Step 2: Add Water

Add your 1/2 cup of water into your pot.

Step 3: Add Sugar

add your 2 cups of sugar into the pot with the water.

Step 4: Add Corn Syrup

Add your 3/4 cup of Light Corn Syrup into the pot with the sugar and water.

Step 5: Mix

Mix the ingredients with a whisk until dissolved. Add coloring and flavoring if desired.

Step 6: Cook

Put on the burner on mid heat, slowly rising the temperature. Raise temp to 300 F°. Then let boil for 5-10 minutes. then pour onto sheet pan.

Step 7: Pour/Break

Set for an hour to let cool and use the handle of your whisk or a wooden spoon to break the candy.
