WE ARE GOING TO MAKE A SALT WATER BATERY. IT CAN BE A GOOD SOURCE OF LIGHT IN EMERGENCY OR FOR THOSE WHO DON'T HAVE LIGHT.

Supplies

Here are the materials you'll need for this project

  • Aluminum (Ex. Foil)
  • the carbon thing from battery (Manganese oxide)
  • Wires
  • tape
  • String- Got mine from a mask.

Step 1: GET THE IDEA

WATCH THIS SHORT VIDEO FOR BETTER UNDERSTANDING

Step 2: Extraction of Cathode

Get the carbon thing from the battery by striping the zinc cothing

Step 3: FINISHING OUR CELL

Make sure that anode and cathode don't contact together.

Step 4: Connect Your Cell to a Joule Thief

we need to boost our voltage inorder for our load in my case small led to work. A joule thief is a minimalist self-oscillating voltage booster that is small, low-cost, and easy to build, typically used for driving small loads.

Step 5: Connection

SALT-WATER MIXTURE➡CELL➡JOULE THIEF➡LED➡LIGHT

WE JUST MADE A BASIC BATTERY!
