Simple Dorm Room Plant Shelf

Intro: Simple Dorm Room Plant Shelf

I don't have a window sill in my dorm room, but I wanted my plant friends to be able to enjoy light in the window, so I picked up a board and some hardware and made them a simple shelf that attaches to the window without any holes.

Chose my hardware purely based on what they had at Lowes, but if it helps...
Bolts are 3/8" X 6"
Board is 1/4" X 5 1/2" X 2'

The picture with the hardware in a line is the order I put it together in. You may need something a bit different depending on your window.

I can seen the idea but if you had made it a bit clearer. This is something I wanted to do with windows in my home that do not have large enough sills.
But I believe if you are trying to win a contest more explanation is needed.
Thank you good job anyway for me. I "favorited" it and you got my vote.
I didn't go into too much detail because the hardware I used is kind of specific to what they had for sale at Lowes and the way my window is set up. The hardware is also waaaay stronger than it needs to be to support the little weight I put on this shelf. I included the picture of all the hardware in a row so you can get an idea of what I used and see how I put it together, but you'd likely need something a bit different. If it helps, the bolts are 3/8" X 6" and the board is 1/4" X 5.5" X 2'. I used the 3/8" bolts just because they had them in a 6" length and I found the best assortment of washers I could use for this diameter bolt. Thanks for the feedback! :)
The landscape outside your window looks a lot like Millersville University. Am I right?
Nope. Close, though. :)
