Skrivbordstillbehör / Desk Accessories

Desk accessories made in corrugated cardboard and masking tape. The
corrugated board is the slightly thicker variant with two layers, approx. 6 mm thick. I mainly use the masking tape to cover the edges that run along the corrugated board filling. The edges are often weak and ugly. On the pen case and the mobile stand I have also reinforced these edges with glue. I have used contact adhesive, but if you have time to wait, then it is probably good with wood glue. I made a template to cut out the slices to the lamp, it is not necessary. One needs a simple template to get the holes in the same place on all the discs. NOTE The lamp only LED, too hot with other lights. Make sure the cord cannot be pulled out.

Skrivbordstillbehör tillverkade i Wellpapp och maskeringstejp. Wellpappen är den lite tjockare varianten med två lager, ca. 6 mm tjock. Maskeringstejpen använder jag främst för att täcka över de kanter som går längs med wellpappens fyllning. De kanterna blir gärna svaga och fula. På Pennasken och mobilstället har jag också förstärkt dessa kanter med lim. Jag har använt kontaktlim, men har man tid att vänta, så går det säkert bra med trälim.

Jag gjorde en mall för att skära ut skivorna till lampan, det är inte nödvändigt. Man behöver en enkel mall för att få hålen på samma ställe på alla skivorna. OBS Lampan endast LED, för varmt med andra lampor. Se till att sladden inte går att dra ut.

Step 1: Bright Spot / Ljuspunkt

A bright spot, but does not provide enough light to function as lighting. Should be seen a little from above. On the stand, there will be a desk lamp.

Step 5: Manufacturing Lamp Head / Tillverkning Lamphuvud.

The top plate has a slightly smaller hole so that there will be no shadow on the fabric. The fabric is glued to the back and covered by a transparent tape so as not to hang down.

Step 6: Manufacturing Lamp Head / Tillverkning Lamphuvud.

Place the corrugated board on a backing paper. Add glue to the holes and to the lamp holder. Stick in the wooden pins. Press the small shims and support plate for the lamp holder. Re-apply glue. Put on the next corrugated board. Repeat. After the third disc, fit the lamp holder with two support pieces of corrugated cardboard. On the 4-th and 5-th disc, cut a piece for the lamp holder. After installing the 4-discs, glue the lamp holder. Continue the same with the other discs.

Lägg wellpappskivan på ett bakplåtspapper. Lägg i lim i hålen och vid lampfästet. Stick i träpinnarna. Tryck dit de små mellanläggen och stödskivan för lamphållaren. Lägg på lim på nytt. Lägg på nästa wellpappskiva. Upprepa. Efter tredje skivan, så passa in lamphållaren med två stödbitar wellpapp. På den 4-de och 5-te skivan skär du bort en bit för lamphållare. Efter att du monterat 4-de skivan så limmar du fast lamphållaren. Fortsätt på samma sätt med de övriga skivorna.

Step 7: The Lamp Unit Finished / Lampenheten Färdig.

The holes of the plastic balls are drilled up to 4 mm.
If you are going to use the lamp as a table lamp, cut it up on the underside to increase the light scatter. If you do not use a spherical lamp, you may need to cut the front edge of the underside.

The pointed part of the grill pin is used to reinforce the bonding. Does not appear on the picture, but the wooden rail has a Ø3 mm hole at the bottom, where a pin is pressed into the bottom plate.

Where corrugated cardboard should be bent, press a groove in the cardboard. Select a point on the back between the "wave crest" of the carton filling.

The shelf for the mobile is glued with wood glue or super glue. The shelf is supported by two barbell tips which are pressed through the corrugated board together with glue. First press in the pin, pull it out, apply glue and push it in again.
