Introduction: Small Fishing Grill
This is a little miniature grill that I made to cook fish on when I go camping. I found all of the parts (minus the nuts and bolts) at Goodwill, and altogether it cost me about $9. Its pretty straightfoward. The pot makes up the main body of the grill where the coals will rest, the two grates going different directions make the shelf that holds whatever you're cooking, and the old candleholder makes the base. The two grates will eventually be held together by wire, but for now (when Im not going to use it) they are held together by tape.

Could probably do with a few more ventilation holes on the bottom.

This is smart, may I jut say that if the holes were on the bottom then when the coals are lit some of the embers might fall through and slits and the woods or table might be set on fire. You are right, it does need holes Just a thought maybe holes on the upper sides? I had one like that. this is reallly neat and I have all the pieces.
thanks

Awesome job reusing some stuff from Goodwill. Looks like it would make a good camping grill. :)

I hope it will. The only thing that I worry about is that the bottom of the pot will eventually wear thin after many uses.

It'll take a lot of uses for it to get that thin. the camp cans we made withstood multiple uses and were a lot thinner than that pot. The real thing you will have to worry about is probably rust, but since the post looks to be stainless I don't think that will be much of a concern except for maybe on the grates.
