Hi! I'm Anthony Morris, and I'm 12 years old in 7th grade. I made the popsicle stick ballista. It's a very neat contraption.

Supplies

1 rubber band
3 large popsicle sticks
8 regular popsicle sticks
3 small clothespins
2 dowels
2 small blocks of wood
2 clamps
1 saw
1 tape measure
Hot glue
Elmer's glue (liquid)

Step 1: Step 1

For the first step, you need to grab all the materials needed. Then, take a block of wood (if you don't have any small pieces of wood) and cut it into 2 smaller pieces.

Step 2: Step 2

For the second step, you need to use Elmer's glue (liquid) and fill in the spaces between the 8 regular popsicle sticks.

Step 3: Step 3

For step 3, your going to hot glue 2 large popsicle sticks as the picture shows. It'll make a T-shape if done correctly.

Step 4: Step 4 & 5

For step 4, you just need to hot glue the small dowels on one of the large popsicle sticks, as shown in the picture. For step 5, just hot glue the rubber band in 2 of the small clothespins. Then, hot glue the clothespins on the popsicle stick without the dowels.

Step 5: Step 6

For step 6, after 6 hours of drying, the 8 now-glued regular popsicle sticks need to be cut with a saw. Once cut, hot glue them onto the large popsicle stick with the clothespins. Hot glue another clothespin on the back on top of the dowels.

Step 6: Step 7

Step 7 is easy, all you have to do is hot glue the top large popsicle stick, and you have your self a working popsicle stick ballista! Also, hot glue the wooden blocks on the bottom of the ballista for a stand.
