Intro: Small Space Holiday Tree

The holidays have officially arrived! Have you decorated your space yet? If you're like me, and don't have the room to accommodate a full size tree, this hanging yarn christmas tree is your small space solution!

STEP 1: Gather Your Materials

For this project you're going to need the following;

5 Birch Logs cut into 9 lengths: 2”, 4”, 8”, 12”, 16”, 20”, 24”, 28”, 32” 48 Yards - Forest Green Chunky Lux Yarn 12 ft - Twine Reciprocating saw Small Decorative Ornaments (of your choosing). 40 ft Twinkle Lights

STEP 2: Cut Birch Logs

Next, you're going to want to cut your birch logs.

Cut 5 Birch Logs cut into 9 lengths: 2”, 4”, 8”, 12”, 16”, 20”, 24”, 28”, 32”

You can do this with a simple saw, or look for precut wood at your local craft store.

STEP 3: Add the Yarn

Next up, ravel some yarn around each birch log.

PRO TIP - Pull your yarn apart to make it cover more space!

STEP 4: Attach Your Twine

Next up, take your 12 ft. twine and fold it in half. Make a small knot and attach it to a nail.

STEP 5: Attach the Logs

Using simple knots, attach the logs to the twine with even spacing.

STEP 6: Decorate!

Add whatever holiday decorations you'd like! We used some twinkle lights and holiday ornaments.

Enjoy!

I am intrigued as soon as I see the term "small space". There are just so many issues that could arise due to this situation and we need all the help we can get especially during the festive season. Apart from decorating, we also face space constraints when it comes to seating guests, serving of food, and many more. The little things count and to come up with an interesting small space holiday tree idea is just heartwarming.
I love ideas like this to be honest. These days homes are growing so small, there's barely any space to do anything, but at least with this, we can still be festive in our houses right?
This looks really nice and I like that it wouldn't take up too much storage space :)
This is so darn clever! And it is even MORE space saving than the infamous "flat pack" christmas tree.

Thank you! ahahh yeah - really happy with the way it turned out
