Intro: Spring Powered Bazooka

This is a very simple Spring powered bazooka, it is still being modified and upgraded. with a little creativity you could add a(n)

  • pull trigger
  • optical sight
  • "iron"sights
  • and a range finder.

This is the Mark-3 version and holds two large springs.

The Mark-2 had 1 large spring.

And the Mark-1 Had 1 small spring.

But that enough history, lets build it!

Materials for the Mark-3-

  • 1 1'9'' of 1 1/4'' PVC
  • 2 (1 is spare) 1 1/4'' PVC end cap
  • _ 3/4'' PVC end cap (AMMO)
  • 2 #51 Size Springs
  • 1 Small Cotter Pin
  • 1 Key Ring (!One you can fit your finger in!)
  • 1 1'9'' dowel (Has to fit in springs)

Tools

  • Drill
  • Saw
  • Knife
  • Tape Measure

STEP 1: Make Sure You Have All the Parts

Listed previously.

STEP 2: Drill Your Hole 8 3/4'' From One End of the Pipe

STEP 3: Drill a Hole in the End of the 1 1/4'' End Cap

STEP 4: Put the Cotter Pin on the Key Ring

STEP 5: Put the Pull Pin in the Hole

STEP 6: Put the Springs on the Dowel

STEP 7: Load Small Cap in Barrel

The cap is outside the barrel for demonstration purposes.

STEP 8: Load Spring Assembly Into the Barrel

The spring assembly is outside the barrel for demonstration purposes.

STEP 9: And Push the Dowel Though the End Cap and Onto the Tube

STEP 10: The Bazooka Is Now Loaded. Pull the Pin to Fire!

Good idea, applicable in many fields, but that end cap... Is it secured with glue? A screw? I'd be uncomfortable using this for safety reasons, but good start nonetheless

Good point. I just have not had the time to add a new screw cap. P.S. (Don't drop it! I found out the hard way.
