For this device you are making squishy circuits by using homemade play-doh, LED lights, and some wires.

Step 1: Making Conductive Dough

You will need the following materials:

- 1 Cup of Water

- 1 ½ Cups of Flour

- ¼ Cup of Salt

- 9 Tbsp. of Lemon Juice

- 1 Tbsp. of Vegetable Oil

- Food Coloring (optional)

Step 2:

Mix water, 1 cup of flour, salt, lemon juice, vegetable oil, and food coloring in a medium sized pot. (Optional: Put the food coloring in if you want the dough to be colorful.)

Step 3:

Cook over heat that is in the middle and stir.

Step 4:

Keep stirring as it starts to boil and get chunky and stop until it forms a ball in the center of the pot.

Step 5:

Once the ball is formed, place it on a surface with flour spread across it. Be very careful when handling the ball as it will be very hot. Let it cool down for a few minutes before handling it.

Step 6:

Slowly roll the ball in the flour until you feel like it’s ready.

Step 7:

Keep the now formed dough in a tightly closed plastic bag, if you don’t store it properly then the dough will not work.

Step 8: Making the Circuit

To make the circuit you will need the following materials:

- LED lights

- Conductive dough

- Wires

To make the circuit you have to always keep the dough that has the LED light positive and negative separate. You can separate them with the de-conductive dough.

Step 1: You need to know which doh is conductive and de-conductive.

Step 2: Place the one leg of the LED in one side of the conductive doh and the other leg in a separate ball or shape of doh.

Step 3: Place in the positive and negative on the correct side of the doh. To see which side is negative place in the red and black wire and switch on the electricity if it doesn't light up switch the red and black wires. If it still does not light up you need to look and make sure the conductive doh is not touching.
