Stain Wood With a Torch

In this Instructable, I will show you how to stain wood using a Torch. Please be careful with doing this, have a Fire Extinguisher handy and do on a metal Surface to prevent fires.

I love the look on this for certain types of woods.

Step 1: What You Will Need

Small portable Torch

Long Butane Lighter

Fire Extinguisher

Wood

Step 2: Torching

You can do this a couple of different ways. Either Torch the wood, before carving, or Carve the wood and then Torch.

Light your torch with a Long Butane Lighter, and adjust the knob to have a small flame.

When using the Torch, don't hold it one spot to long, also don't hold too close to the wood. Watch the including video.

Note have a Fire Extinguisher handy, just in case. Safety First

Step 3: Finish

This is what they look like finish, I hope you like the Instructable. This is a different look than standard wood stain finish.
