Gather ingredients and necessary tools:
4 cups whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cup sugar

Bowls and spoons
4 cups whole milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cup sugar
1-2 liter Liquid Nitrogen (CAUTION!!!!! Careful handling must be used to avoid burns)
Metal bowl
Metal mixing spoon
Bowls and spoons
Step 2: Add Ingredients to Metal Bowl
Add all ingredients, excluding the liquid nitrogen, into a large metal bowl
Step 3: Add Any Desired Mix-ins
Add desired mix-ins to the bowl. These can include candy bars, fruit, jam, chocolate syrup etc.
Step 4: Mix Ingredients in Bowl
Mix all the ingredients in the bowl until the sugar has dissolved completely.
Step 5: Add Liquid Nitrogen
Pour the liquid nitrogen slowly into the bowl while mixing. Add in intervals to avoid spillage and to make sure the mixture is completely frozen
Step 6: Mix Vigorously With Metal Spoon
Mix the ice cream vigorously with a metal spoon. This will smooth out the ice cream into an edible and recognizable substance.
Step 7: Serve and Enjoy!
Serve and enjoy the finished product. If no steam emits, all liquid nitrogen has dissipated and it is safe to eat.
