You might think this project would be pretty easy to figure out on your own, and your probably right. But i'll show you how to do it anyway. :)

Step 1: Outline

I could think of no other way than to just freehand the outline of your state or country. The state I chose was Iowa, so it was relatively easy. So use a pencil to outline, then fill the outline with tacks or small nails.

Step 2: More Outline

Tie the string securely to a corner nail, and outline the nails. Be sure to wrap the string around each nail, so it doesn't just slip off.

Step 3: Interior

Tie the string very securely to the nail that represents your house.

Step 4: Stringing Out

This part is pretty self explanatory. But be sure to wrap the string around each nail instead of just looping it around it.

Step 5: OOOoOooh

Tie the end of the string to your last nail. pretty!

Step 6: Words

If you choose, write in pencil a word you'd like, and woodburn it. If you dont have a woodburner, just use a soldering iron. Its literally the same thing.
