Sun-Star Pendant

Make a nice necklace that you will be proud of forever.

Step 1: Make the Star

Getting a picture of a star off the internet can be unreliable. The star could have to defects to it such as not having all the sides to be the same. This way, you are 100% sure that your star is perfect.

Step 2: Download the Sun

This is going to be the sun that you use in the center of the pendent.

Step 3: One Bitmap

Bound fill the sun and the star to make it into one bitmap.

Step 4: Size It

Make it the size you want it to be.

Step 5: Contour and Bound Fill

Contour the inside of the star, and the outside of the sun, then bound fill that area.

Step 6: Cad File

Put the design, on a cad file. This cad file is the perfect measurement of the modeling foam that will be used to mill the design.

Step 7: Final Steps

Once you get the modeling foam out of the milling machine, you will drill a well on it so that the pewter will easily drip into your design. Sandwich your design with another piece of modeling foam, and wrap a rubber band around it to that is does not move. Drip pewter into the design, and wait about 15 minutes for it to cool down. Carefully pull out the pendent out of the modeling foam, and start sanding it. You will sand it until it is smooth.

Step 8: Necklace

Put it on a chain, and there you go.
