Sun Wall Decor

For the space design contest, I made a sun wall hanger.

Supplies

3d printer

paint (optional)

thumb tacks (optional)

Step 1: Design in Inventor

The first thing I did was design the sun in inventor. If you do not wish to do this, you can use the one I made.

Step 2: 3d Print That Thang

Put the stl though the software of your choice to get the gcode. Adjust the size and infill to your liking. then you can go ahead and 3d print that thang! When it finishes remove it from the bed.

Step 3: Remove the Support

Remove the support material. I was able to do this with my hands but you may need pliers

Step 4: Paint? (optional)

if you don't like the filament color you used, you can paint it. I used this spray paint, but any paint you want works.

Step 5: Hang It

The last step is to hang it on your wall. You can hang it using whatever you want, but I am using thumb tacks. simply push the thumb tacks in the wall, then balance the sun upon them.
