Intro: Super Easy DIY Bootbelts

This is a really simple tutorial on how to make your own bootbelts.

I bought these boots last week and I totally love them! However, I wanted to make them more "me" so I decided to make some bootbelts to wear with them.

Have fun making these and let me know if you did, I would love to see your recreations!

With love,
Sharon

STEP 1: Supplies

For this project I used:

- Two different types of fabric
- Textile glue
- Needle and thread in the color of your choise
- Scrapbook ring

I bought my fabrics at the local market in my town. There are loads that you can choose from, so you can make them totally to your own liking

STEP 2: Sewing the Fabrics Together

Note before you start; if you're handy with a sewing machine, you could use it to sew the fabrics together. I'm not that good with a sewing machine and I like the way it has being handmade.

Place the fabrics around your boot to measure the right size for your belts. Make sure you cut off a bit more because you will need to fold the fabric onto your scrapbookring later. You can always cut off the excess fabric at the end.

Put the two fabrics together and start sewing them. Try to get the stitches evenly next to eachother. You can use other sorts of stitches if you know them, or sew them at another angle. Just make sure the bottom of your top fabric is attached to the fabric that lies beneath.

STEP 3: Glue and Stitch to an End

I don't know if you can see this very well, but the fabric I used is a bit ragged. You can prevent this from happening by taping the end of with some tape before you start stitching. When you're done stitching the fabrics together, use your textile glue on the ends to stop the ragging.

Let it dry completely then fold them on your scrapbookring to measure. Next you'll just sew the end to the fabric, creating a little loop. Do this with all ends and your bootbelts are done!

This way you can put the bootbelts on every boot you like.
