Introduction: Super Spicy Prawns Fry
This is a super easy to make Prawns fry who love Spiciness. This yummy dish will take only 10 - 15 min for preparation excluding Cleaning time of the prawns. If you are taking peeled and de-weined prawns, then you can have your Spicy dish within 15 mins.
- Prawns - 10 Nos
- Chilli Powder - 2 Tbsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1 Tbsp
- Fennel Seed Powder - 1 tsp
- Ginger - small piece
- Garlic - 3 or 4 cloves
- Salt to taste
- Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
- Water - to mix into paste
- Oil - for shallow fry
Step 1: Step 1: Making the Spicy Coating
Firstly, crush or grind the ginger and garlic together. Secondly, mix all the spices together and add in the ginger - garlic mixture (freshly crushed ginger and garlic will have a bang of flavors, though you can also use ginger garlic paste).
Step 2: Step 2: Mixing Into a Paste
Add in water into the mixture previously prepared. Take care to add water little by little so that you can make a fine paste which can be coated on the prawns.
Step 3: Step 3
Add the prawns into the paste and give it a good mix so that each prawns gets coated with the paste. Allow to rest this for at-least 5 mins.
Step 4: Step 4: Shallow Fry
In a pan, pour in the oil (preferably coconut oil) and allow to heat. Add each piece of prawns and allow to fry on one side. Cover and Cook on medium - low heat. Now flip the prawns to other side and sprinkle the curry leaves. This will give great flavor to the dish. You can flip the prawns back after some time if you need a little crispy version of the same.
