Sustain Pedal As a Hihat Controller for Drums Modules

To solve the issue of not having a hi-hat controller for my drum module, I connect a piano sustain pedal instead.

Step 1: Connection

Tacking the mono output signal of the Hihat controller simply connecting them with the Mono sustain pedal using any metal wire. Mono signal on hi-hat controllers only allows to open or close the hi-hat, and when it is closed it produces a closed hi-hat sound. Maybe this will work on stereo output signals with stereo sustain pedals. If you try let me know it!
