Introduction: Sustainable Energy Car

About: I am a student of class 10th from india. I love making projects. I got the inspiration to use arduino in projects from my friend ritinder

As we all know cars are the major source of pollution. so i have made sustainable energy car as a solution for pollution.

Step 1: Materials Required: -

1. Two 100rpm motors

2. Wire

3. Chassis

4. Four wheels

5. Metal rod

6. Cell socket

7. Double sided tape

8. PCB

9. 9v battery holder

10. 9v battery

11. RC car

12. Antenna

13. Two Simple motors

14. Diode

15. Button switch

16. Rubber band

17. LEDs

18. Propeller

19. Electric tape

20. Solar panel

Step 2: Connect 2 Motors

Connect positive terminal of both the motors and

one extra wire to positive terminal of motor and

Connect negative terminal of both the motors and one extra wire to negative terminal of motor as shown in pictures.

Step 3: Mounting Motors on Chassis and Putting Wheels on the Motor

Mount both the motors on the chassis as shown in the pictures.

Tight the nuts of motors in the Chassis as shown in the pictures.

Your mounting of motors on the chassis is done.

After mounting Motors on the chassis put wheels on the
motor and tight the screws with screwdriver as shown in pictures.

For putting wheels in the front put a metal rod of length 16 cm and
diameter 0.6 cm and then put wheels on the rod and tight the screws.

Putting wheels on the motors is done.

Step 4: Putting Cell Socket on the Chassis and Attaching Them With PCB.

Attach cell sockets with double sided tape in the

following arrangement as shown in the picture below on the chassis.

Solder the positive terminalof the cell socket on the PCB in the positive terminal row and negative terminal of the cell socket on the PCB in the negative terminal row.

Attach positive terminal of 9v battery holder in
the positive terminal row and negative terminal of 9v battery holder in the negative terminal row.

Your cell socket placing on the chassis and
attaching it with the PCB is done.

Step 5: Fitting RC Chip From Old RC Car to Our Model

Now we will fit RC chip from old RC car to our

model. In my chip there are markings on the RC chip like for positive terminal (v+) of battery, for negative terminal (v-) of battery, for +v terminal of motors (F), for negative terminal of motor (B) and for antenna (ANT).

Attach positive wire from RC chip marked as v+ on
the chip to positive terminal row of PCB. Attach negative wire from RC chip marked as v- on the chip to negative terminal row of PCB.

Attach positive wire of the motor with a point marked as F on the chip and attach negative wire of the motor with a point marked as B on the chip.

If you have any antenna attach it with a point marked as ANT on the chip and if you don`t have any antenna simply attach a wire of about 10-15 cm to it or you can attach a solid core wire to ANT point on the chip.

Your fitting of RC chip on the car is done.

Step 6: Motion to Electricity Generator

In this concept I will attach a generator (motor)

with the wheels by using a rubber band or thread or any type of belt.

The idea behind it is that when the car will move the wheels will rotate the generator (motor) and the generator (motor) will generate electricity. You can use this electricity for charging batteries or for glowing leds, etc.

Now come to the practical work, so first attach the generator (motor) with double sided tape and electric tape on the chassis and then attach the generator (motor) with wheels using a rubber band or thread or any type of belt and then attach the positive terminal of generator (motor) with a diode and then connect it with the positive terminal row of the PCB and negative terminal of generator (motor) with the negative terminal row of the PCB.

Step 7: Connecting Leds

We will connect positive terminals of both the leds

with a button switch and then connect the switch with the positive terminal row and connect the negative terminal of the leds with the negative terminal row.

Step 8: Connecting Solar Panel

Connect the positive terminal of the solar panel

with the positive terminal row and then connect the negative terminal of the solar panel with the negative terminal row.

Step 9: Making a Wind Mill and Connecting It to PCB

Take a motor and attach a propeller with the motor

and attach it with the body using a glue gun and then connect the + ve terminal of the motor with the +ve terminal row and connect the –ve terminal of the motor with the –ve terminal row.
