Introduction: TP Link TL WN822N Double Barrel Cantenna
TP-Link TL-WN822N double barrel cantenna:
So in this video I will show you how I went about modifying the TP-Link tl-wn822n. Due to the adapter having to antennas I thought it would be a good idea to strap two cantenna’s to the outside of the adapter.
Now it is unique, looks awesome and is extremely powerful.

I’ve made several of Andrews antenna over the last few years, and the last was his copper tape yagi for 2.4gHz laid out on plexiglass (perspex). It was okay, but then, I don’t have his alfa card🤷🏼
On this one, he scanner shows top gains. But I’m wondering: What would you say is the realistic range on something like this to grab an open outdoor hotspot? Sure, some source routers are more powerful than others , but generally speaking.
I’m trying to find a laptop compatible external antenna I can use from up to about 2 km., provided its on the rooftop with a line of sight to the source. Any thoughts?
