Intro: Takis FuEGGos

I was having a really lazy lunch the other day eating hard boiled eggs and Takis Fuego chips. As I was crunching away an idea came to me. That idea is the foundation of this instructable and that idea was what would it taste like if you combined deviled eggs and Takis Fuego chips. From that lazy lunch this culinary adventure began. So come along with me if your taste buds are adventurous and you want to send them on the spicy adventure that is Takis FuEggos.

STEP 1: Tools and Ingredients

Tools

  • Something to hard boil your eggs in (I used an instant pot)
  • Food Processor
  • Knife
  • Fork
  • Bowl
  • Piping bag or plastic bag with the corner cut off

ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • Mayonnaise
  • Takis Fuegos

STEP 2: Under Pressure or Some Like It Hot

I like to use my pressure cooker to make hard boiled eggs. I find that my eggs peel better than if I boil them in hot water. Also it takes a lot less water which for those of us in the land of frequent and long droughts is something I think about with a surprising frequency. I even got my own little egg stand to hold them. If you don't have an adorable egg stand you can use your trivet the main goal is to keep the eggs from being in contact with the bottom of your pressure cooker. I place my eggs and a little bit of water in the pressure cooker then using the pressure cook mode set it for five minutes and it was time to powderize my Takis Fuegos

STEP 3: Processing Your Food or Powderize Your Takis Fuegos

This is a pretty easy step and yet I found it very satisfying to go from tasty chip to fine flavorful powder. Take one cup of Takis Fruegos and add them to your food processor. Using the pulse function begin to break down the chips while laughing manically creating back stories for each of the spicy cylindrical corn chips you have just condemned to the bladey maw of your food processor. Now that you have that out of your system and a fine spicy powder it is time to grab your eggs and let the madness truly take hold...

STEP 4: Time to Make the Fueggos

Now that we have everything we need to make Takis Fuegos lets get to making them. Once your eggs are cool peel them, cut them in half, and separate them from their delicious golden centers. Set aside the egg white bowls you've just made and place the yolks into you mixing bowl. Add a goodly lump of mayonnaise (two tablespoonsish) pour in your powderized chips (setting some aside for decoration later) and get to mixing with a fork. Keep going until you have thoroughly combined the yolks, mayonnaise, Takis Fuegos into s smooth paste. With that done reach for your piping bag or if you are like me a plastic storage bag you are about to cut the corner off of and load it up with the essence of spicy eggy goodness(your yolk paste).

STEP 5: Filling and Filling

With your egg paste in a squeezable bag it is time to squeeze it out into your egg white halves. (If you have a piping bag your eggs will probably look prettier than mine turned out with the plastic bag trick.) With your eggs filled sprinkle some leftover Takis crumbs over the top. Congratulations you have succeeded in making Takis FuEggos now all that is left is to fill your self up by eating this culinary adventure. Thanks for taking the time to read this instructable.
