Introduction: Tap a Hole.
How to put threads into a hole.
Step 1: Drilling
First drill to the proper tap drill size.
Step 2: Countersink
Then countersink the hole.
Step 3:
Take the tap and put it in the tap wrench.
Step 4: Start the Tap
Put a drop of cutting fluid in the hole.
Start the tap.
Start the tap.
Step 5:
Put some fluid on the tap and slowly turn the tap until it goes through the hole or hits the bottom.
Hold the tap perpendicular to the part. If you try to go fast then it will break off into the hole.

Step 6:
take the tap out and clean the metal shavings out with an air hose.
Then take the screw and check the quality of the threads.
