Introduction: Temperature Measurement Tutorial (Part1)

In this project I will show you how the resistance of different materials is used to measure accurate temperatures. The project will include information about NTC thermistors, PT100, Wheatstone bridge, LM35 and DS18B20. And at the end I will show you how to build a simple thermometer. Let's get started!

Here you can find all the schematics that I used during the video. Feel free to use the thermometer prototype schematic to build your own

Step 4: Upload the Code/Sketch!

Here you can find the Code/Sketch which you need to upload to your Arduino before you can use your homemade thermometer.

Step 5: Success!

You did it. Not only did you learn a lot about resistance temperature sensors but you also made a homemade thermometer!

    How did you get the equation of the conversions from voltage to temperature please?

    Can this circuit also be used for a 4-20mA air pressure transmitter? And if not, how woukd you use that with an Arduino?

    Your videos are always amazing! I have just bought a ds18b20 and some other sensors for my Arduino and raspberry pi!

    Could you please give me an eagle library for this 16x2 LCD module which shows in 4:52 of the film?

    I think it is included in the eagle lbr of adafruit or sparkfun. Just use those two.
