Introduction: Temporarily Pet-proof Your Floors!
I needed to take care of a friend's dogs in an emergency. They were not house-trained and I needed a way to protect my floor. My solution was 6mil HDX plastic sheeting -- this was thick enough to protect against tears and it worked like a charm.
Supplies
*HDX Plastic Sheeting (20ft. x 100ft. roll)
*3M Multi-Use Duct Tape
*Frog Tape - Delicate Surface (for attaching the plastic to walls and furniture)
*Scissors
Step 1:
Unroll HDX plastic sheeting. Cut to size. Use triangle shapes where necessary.
Step 2:
Connect sheets with duct tape.
Step 3:
Use frog tape to connect sheets to walls and furniture to protect paint / furniture finish.
Step 4:
Done! A cost-effective solution for temporary pet-proof flooring.
