Intro: Tesla Cybertruck DIY Made of Paper! :)

Hi! :)

Here you can find a tutorial how to make a Tesla Cybertruck with paper by printing the template at home.

STEP 1: Materials

What you need:

printing template ( check the description of the youtube video for the link or scroll down in this tutorial )
printer (printing files in A4 and US Letter)
sheets of paper stock/paper in the color you like
paper glue ( hot glue can save time in some occasions )
ruler
pencil
cardboard
cutting mat

STEP 2: Print / Cut / Score / Fold

print the template on the paper you like and stat cutting out all the parts. After that you can score all the folding lines with a scoring tool ( if you don't have something like that you can use an empty ballpoint pen, the blunt side of a butter knife, a nail file or anything like that). The scoring is making sure you get nice folds. :)

STEP 3: Glue the Body

Use the big parts to assemble the body first and include the fenders.

STEP 4: Finish the Bumpers

The bumpers are a bit tricky since the parts are very small. It is possible however to make them nice :P After completing them you can glue them onto the body of the cyber truck.

STEP 5: Assemble the Inner Frame

Use the inner frame now and reinforce it with cardboard. In this way you will have a solid base for the car and later for when you can mount the wheels.

STEP 6: Assemble the Wheels

Not an easy step to make the wheels very nice so some experience would be welcome :) Cut out the wheel parts and start with the sidewall of the tire. Continue with the mudguard and then measure how long the strip should be. After that cut out a circle of cardboard to insert into the wheel. When all 4 wheels are done you can lift the body a little bit from the table and glue the wheels onto the car.

STEP 7: Finish!

you're done! let me know what you think and if you make one please share it :)

STEP 8: Customize! Made an A-Team Style Cybervan

Modify the template into something that looks like your wildest Tesla Truck :D When they told that the truck was bulletproof, I had to think about the good old days whit A-Team on the television. So I decided to make a millennial version of the Tesla Cybertruck :) What would you turn it into??

STEP 9: Make an RC Cybertruck!

Customized the paper Cybertruck with RC car / Led lights & Solar Panels! :))

Can I buy it? It is very cool! I got the 1:10 Scale Tesla Cybertruck RC for Christmas and it broke 2 months later. Yours seems more durable and reliable! Any chance you can make one for me and I can buy it? Thankyou! Great Job! :D

What scale is this my dude? I have a 1/12 RC Car and I really wanna turn it into my cyber truck!
In Step 9, the person used a 1/18 car, but they had to make it longer with wood.
Can I use your template in my instructable on how build an rc short course truck body out of polycarbonate sheet?

Just wondering. For all the effort & time, why not size the shell proportional to the R/C wheel size, so the wheels fit inside the wheelwells? Seems like the template could easily have been magnified to do that by just spreading the parts out to more pieces of paper. For that matter, may just as well use real thin gauge metal, haha! Oh well, then make gigs & mass produce them. Take "reservations" in a GoFundMe to finance it. Have it done in time for X-mas? (Actually, I thInk I saw a non-R/C version sold by one of the big toy makers -with shattered glass & all. Have you seen it?)

Anyway, fantastic work!!!
Cool! i might do this soon but i will add some circuits in it to make it a remote controlled Tesla Cybertruck.
that would be awesome!!
Make the body and mount it on a traxxas revo
good idea! but im gonna use an arduino programmed reciever and transmitter.
Please post an instructable on how to do thise.
I wonder if I could find little shattered window decals that small :). Just kidding. Great job!
moehahaha you can always add them! :D
