Introduction: Tetrapak Easy Radio-Frequency Body Protection Box
You might have, too, received all those chain emails concerning Cell Phones and Cancer...
While it seems the matter has not been settled; I.E. look at Wikipedia's take, before you go on a Pavlovian reaction "Tin-Foil hat" spree:

Tetrapak boxes are made of a multi-layered carton, with Cardboard, Plastic, AND Aluminum Foil. So much so, it can be used to make a reflecting antenna for Wi-fi!

So all it takes is a Tetrapak box, to make the radiation to be reflected away from your body... And back to the Cell Phone, where it boosts the signal!
Cut, glue, cover the outer part of the carton with some colored Paper, that's it.
Step 1:
Here's a typical Milk Carton:
You can easily cut it with the typical Kitchen Scissors, those that cut Chicken, Fish, what have you...
Step 2:
Once you've cut it open, it's a common 4th Grade level Paper-craft work to cut it into;
-Either a complete box, with the exterior side, the one facing AWAY from your body, open;
-A back and sides box, as mine;
-Or just a card you put between the Cell-Phone and you!
Step 3:
Here you see my approach, a 3 sides plate, that you can easily put into you pockets, and leave it there, removing only the Phone, when you want...
Step 4:
I can use this, because my Coals have a special Cell-Phone pocket, for loose pockets, make a better fitting box...
Works fine on the pockets of any pair of Jeans, too, IF it's NOT a loose pocket model...
Otherwise the box and the Phone will be dancing away from each other.
So for a case that fits all clothing solution, make a real Box, leaving the exterior side with a Window, for you to se the screen and the phone to receive the Signal...

Flash Gordon, very retro..you crack me up! I love the concept, however I do not have such skills. It would be very fun for a pointer while giving a lecture. Thanks...maybe someday I will learn to work with power tools.
I will have to learn to speak Portuguese as well, ha!

It would be nice for you to learn Portuguese, with all those Brazilians, on that giant Country of theirs, next door... :)

Ha, Spanish was hard enough, throw in some limited Japanese and a little Yiddish. Being that I live in Florida, there are many, many Brazilian tourist, mostly teens on vacation, without their parents. I thought you must cut each piece of wood. I would need skill and accuracy for that. Thanks again for your note, perhaps I will give it a try.

Wow, thank you for your time in sharing this. My brother died of brain cancer a few years ago and I really do question weather the cell phone useage had something to do with this. Thank you also for the cites, I will pass them on. Have a great New Year!

If there is real metal inside the carton (not just mylar), your box will probably interfere with your phone's antenna, making it boost it's transmission more so than without the box. This might also increase heat production and will probably shorten time between recharges.
It the box only has mylar, it will have no effect whatsoever.

So you boost an antenna, with a Reflector, and the Radiation still passes trough to the other side...

Ranie-K is obviously talking about the fact that a cell phone will automatically increase its output power dependent upon the signal level from the nearest transponder. Ergo, it more than likely will effectively increase the radiated energy of the 'phone if you effectively reduce the received signal...It isn't rocket science.
