how to make a usb charger

STEP 1: First You Need the Right Thing to Find or Buy

  • DSi/DS lite charger from gamestop
  • A phone charger(example like apple, samsung, and others chargers)
  • Wire cutters or sissors
  • Wire stripers
  • Wire tape

STEP 2: Strip the Wires

strip the wires about half a inch and it should look like this

STEP 3: Connect the Wires

connect the red wire to the red wire and connect the white wire to the black wire.

STEP 4: Get Your Wire Tape

tape the wires and then test your device, it will work

STEP 5: Now It's Charging

the usb charger works! :D

Nice use of that "DS" side of that charger. Now, hack a USB charging cord with both the DSi (in my case 3DS with an aftermarket battery) plug and the "DS Lite" plug and boom, portable charging. (With a suitable USB port. There not all made equal.)
