This is one of those recipes that literally takes nothing to make but it’s super tasty. I made it yesterday night and in less than 1 hour dinner was ready! It is also very healthy since it is made with tuna, tomatoes and some capers.

My mom makes it very often, and where we live (right on the Mediterranean cost, in the South of Italy) she can easily get fresh tuna. Unfortunately here in Shanghai it's not easy nor cheap to get fresh sea fish, so I had to use canned tuna but the result was pretty good!

My boyfriend seemed to like it a lot so I have decided to post the recipe for you all. Hope you guys will enjoy it as well :)

Step 1: Ingredients

Ingredients (for 4 servings):

  • 300 g linguine
  • 1 can of tuna (140 g)
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 can of tomatoes (800g)
  • 1 clove garlic

Step 2: Instructions 1 - Sautee the Garlic

1.In a pot heat the oil and garlic until it gets a nice golden brown color. Use low heat or you will end up burning it.

Step 3: Instruction 2 - Add the Tomatoes

2. Add the tomatoes and a dash of salt. Cover with a lid and let simmer at low-medium heat for about 20-25 min.

Step 4: Instruction 3 - Add the Fish and Capers

Now it's time to add the tuna and the capers. After having done so keep cooking for other 10 min (no lid this time)

Step 5: Instruction 5 - Boil the Pasta

In the meantime bring a pot of water to a boil and cook pasta "al dente" for about 10 min. Add salt while cooking

Step 6: Instruction 6 - Dress It

Drain the linguine and in a bowl dress it with the mediterranean sauce. Serve hot and enjoy :)
