Introduction: The Prefect Piña Colada
I wanted to be sure I didn't forget this "recipe" for pina coladas, so I figured I would share it here. It's very simple, but the steps and ratios of ingredients seem to be very important when making these.
Step 1: Supplies
Ingredients:
1 can of Coco Lopez
1 bottle of 100% Dole pineapple juice
1 small bag of ice
1 bottle of Parrot Bay rum
I am sure some of these can be substituted, but these are the exact ingredients I use and it does seem to make a difference.
Tools:
A blender (ours is a $30 Hamilton Beach)
A liquid measuring cup
1 can of Coco Lopez
1 bottle of 100% Dole pineapple juice
1 small bag of ice
1 bottle of Parrot Bay rum

Step 2: Add Ingredients and Blend
Here is the exact order to add the ingredients to the blender and the measurements to use:
4 cups of ice
5 oz of Parrot Bay rum
9 oz of Coco Lopez (shake / stir well)
8 oz of Dole pineapple juice
With the blender in 'high' mode press the 'blend' button (this is usually the first one that doesn't require you to hold down the button). Let it run for a solid minute to a minute and a half.

Step 3: Serve and Enjoy
Makes about 3 - 4 glasses.
