Introduction: Alcoholic Oreo Truffles
I got a big container of Oreo cookie crumbs from work when we stopped using them, and this was one of the recipes I came up with to use up the box.
Ingredients:
3 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup cream liqueur (like Amarula or Bailey's Irish Cream)
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
cocoa powder, for coating
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a large bowl.
Roll into one inch balls.
Coat with cocoa powder.
Chill for several hours or over night.

I just made these and they are awesome! I used plain whiskey instead of bailey's and they have kind of a strong after taste, but it could be because I used slightly more than 1/3 whiskey and slightly less than 3 c oreos (next time I shouldn't eat the cookies before I measure them out!).

Someone else suggested wiskey and cream. It is hard to keep from eating the oreos. Mmmmm. Glad you liked them though!

will they give you a buzz?

There is only 1/3 cup of alcohol, so you'd have to eat all of them, and have a low tolerance for alcohol. You're more likely to go into a sugar coma.

Okay I want to know where you work in a place that uses Oreo cookie crumbs - that sounds like a cool place to be! Thanks for sharing this - definitely going to try it!

I worked at Dominos Pizza at the time, I think they had a dessert pizza that used them, I never got to try it unfortunately. :(
