Introduction: TrackingThings Micro:bit Proximity Device

This is a micro:bit device that uses the radio function. Using the radio function, I can track the proximity of other micro:bits by checking how strong the radio signal that I get from the other micro:bit is. Since I wanted to make a way for the micro:bits to social distance, I made this.

Supplies

For this project, you are going to need:

2 micro:bits
A computer or phone
The micro:bit app or the MakeCode site
2 transparent boxes
2 LiPo batteries

Step 1: Setting Up.

To set up the micro:bits, you have to connect them to a computer or phone and connect them to a power source, such as a battery or charger or a computer. To program on the computer, simply connect the micro:bits to the computer, download the code, and drag the .hex file to the micro:bit file. On a phone, use the micro:bit app to send the .hex file to the micro:bits via Bluetooth.

Step 2: The Code for the Micro:bits.

This is the code you need to make the micro:bits work for this project:

Step 3: Instructions.

To make both of the proximity devices, you have to follow these instructions:

1. Connect the LiPo battery to the micro:bit

2. Put the micro:bit inside the clear box

3. Repeat

Now you have 2 proximity devices, ready to use.
