Introduction: Transistor Radio Computer Speakers
For a Digital Design project at my school, my classmates and I were assigned to install computer speakers in another casing. I didn't know what to choose, so I went to a local thrift store and purchased a vintage Transistor Radio. I started by taking the electronics out of the original radio and designing 3D parts to hold the speakers and speaker controller in place. The only skills I needed for this project were being able to solder, and being able to design parts in a 3D printing software (I used Sketchup.) Everything worked in the end and now I have a cool desk accessory with a modern function.
