Treasure Chest

This is my first Instructable, so be kind... :-)

Obviously, this is a Treasure Chest. I did not take pictures as I made it, but I think I can explain most of it.

It is made out of Pallets.

Step 1: Back Side

Most of the chest is just a normal box. The only difficult part was the
top. For the top, I cut the pallets 3/4" wide with the middle portion rounded more than the edges. Then I glued them together, planed it smooth, and finally sanded it down.

Step 2: Handles

The rest is just putting it together, staining and varathane. Inexpensive parts from Home Depot to add some bling to it. Brass corners, latch, and decorative nails. I also took and old belt that did not fit me anymore... and made handles on the side.

Step 3: Arrrrggggg.....

Some fake gold coins from the Party Store finishes it off...
