Good evening! My name is Ananya and here is my method of making an attractive tribal mask. This mask can be work or mounted on a wall to add a rich look too! The choice is yours!
Lets start by colleting materials:
For this activity you will need
Air drying clay
A mould, preferrably a ready mask
Blade to add some details
Paint to add some extra colour!
With a freshly bought Air drying clay packet, remove a good amount of clay and knead it for a while.
You have to then put it for moulding, for this process you could preferrably make a clay fondant and give it the shape of a mask.
Brush is with some water to ensure slow drying process and avoid cracks.
Step 1: After Drying!
Make sure your clay dries properly without any cracks.
Carefully remove the mask out of the mould without breaking.
Give some shape to the eyes, nose and lips of our beautiful tribal woman/man.
Step 2: Details!
You can draw beautiful eyes for your mask now.
Also sanding the clay mask gives a smooth finish and makes it attractive!
Step 3: Design and More Creative Designs!
Draw some designs on the mask to make it look more and more attractive.
We are almost done!
Step 4: Colours!
Designs are always incomplete without colours.
Paint your mask beautifully and you are done!
